Two contracts, one facade
The Lanes is two glazing contracts running on one building. The first is installation of every glazed element across eleven residential storeys. The second is supply and install of the window wall at ground floor and on the rooftop, where the facade meets the street and the sky and the detailing is least forgiving.
Running both means one crew, one site coordination meeting and one party responsible for the facade programme. Panels are fabricated at Coopers Plains and delivered floor by floor in the sequence the crane and the slab cycle allow, so the installers are never waiting on the factory and the factory is never sitting on panels with nowhere to go.
